Casio’s have come a long way since I got my Casio calculator watch 20+ years ago, which is pictured on the home page of this blog and which still works!
I was quite tempted to buy the Casio Edifice Red Bulll watch during last years F1 as they look good and sell for less than $300. Not sure what held me back. Perhaps because it was a quartz or maybe because I already have more than 30 ‘daily’ use watches at home.
My friend Yuji from Japan just bought this Casio Edifice pictured here over Christmas and is yet another good example of how far Casio has come.
On a related note and not surprisingly I guess, Japanese watches like Seiko, Citizen and Casio are priced similarly in Japan as they are in Singapore. Also, if you are looking at getting an older watch like a Seiko Bullhead, you would have trouble finding one and would have to pay a higher price than what you would in Singapore, Vietnam or Thailand for example.
